Food packaging

Plastic packaging: Many plastic food packaging bags use heat sealing technology to melt the edge of the plastic film and seal it by heating, such as common potato chip bags and biscuit bags. Some plastic containers, such as plastic fresh-keeping boxes, use sealing rings made of materials such as silicone rubber or thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) to fill the gap between the container lid and the container using the elastic deformation of the sealing ring to achieve a good sealing effect and prevent food from getting damp and deteriorating.

Glass packaging: Glass cans are a common form of food packaging, and their sealing relies on metal lids and rubber gaskets. The rubber gasket has good corrosion resistance and elasticity. When the can is sealed, the gasket is squeezed between the metal lid and the glass jar mouth to form a seal to prevent air and microorganisms from entering. Some glass sauce bottles also use similar sealing methods to ensure the quality of the sauce within the shelf life.

Metal packaging: Metal cans are widely used in beverage, canned food and other packaging. In the manufacturing process of cans, the can body and the can lid are sealed together through a rolling process, and a sealant is applied to the inside of the can lid to enhance the sealing performance and prevent beverage leakage and outside air from entering. Metal food cans are also often sealed with sealants or rubber seals to ensure the sealing and shelf life of the food.

Food processing equipment

Mixing equipment: The connection between the stirring shaft and the tank of mixing equipment such as food mixers and emulsifiers needs to be sealed to prevent material leakage and external impurities from entering. Common sealing methods include mechanical seals and packing seals. Mechanical seals achieve sealing through the close fit of the dynamic ring and the static ring, which is suitable for high-speed, high-pressure mixing equipment; packing seals achieve sealing between the stirring shaft and the tank by filling sealing fillers, such as graphite packing, etc., which is suitable for some low-speed, low-pressure equipment.

Filling equipment: The contact part between the filling head of the filling machine and the bottle body needs to be well sealed to ensure accurate metering and prevent liquid food from leaking. Usually, elastic sealing materials such as sealing rings or sealing pads made of polytetrafluoroethylene, silicone rubber, etc. are used. During filling, the seal fits tightly with the bottle body to form a seal to ensure the smooth progress of the filling process.

Sterilization equipment: High-temperature sterilization pots are commonly used sterilization equipment in the food industry, and the seal between the pot cover and the pot body is crucial. Generally, high temperature and high pressure resistant rubber sealing rings or metal sealing gaskets are used. During the sterilization process, the pot cover is tightly connected to the pot body through fastening devices such as bolts. The seal is compressed to form a seal to prevent steam leakage and ensure the sterilization effect.

Food storage equipment

Refrigeration equipment: The door seals of refrigerators, freezers and other refrigeration equipment are key components to ensure the refrigeration effect. The door seals are generally made of PVC or silicone rubber, with magnetic strips inside. When the refrigerator door is closed, the door seals are magnetically adsorbed on the refrigerator door frame to form a seal to prevent external hot air from entering, maintain the low temperature environment in the refrigerator, and extend the shelf life of food.

Controlled atmosphere storage equipment: Controlled atmosphere storage equipment such as controlled atmosphere fresh-keeping warehouses and controlled atmosphere fresh-keeping boxes extend the shelf life of food by controlling the gas composition of the storage environment. Its sealing system usually uses high-performance sealants and sealing strips to seal the joints, doors and windows of the warehouse or box to prevent outside air from entering and ensure the stability of the controlled atmosphere environment.
